We currently employ eight staff who cover the reception desk, data input, typing, processing of repeat prescriptions and filing etc. They are there to help you and the doctors.
They are all trained, competent and caring. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.
Pharmacist attached to the Surgery (Primary Care Network - PCN)
Austen Road now has a Pharmacist attached to the surgery who will be doing face to face medication reviews. The Pharmacist will be contacting the patients that need to be seen for review and making appointments for this.

A team of district nurses based at St Luke's Surgery support our patients in the community and provide care and advice on a wide range of issues at home. They can be contacted either by phoning here or St Luke's Surgery on 01483 450686.
Midwife attached to the practice.
Our health visitors are involved in promoting health within the community and offer health advice and support to all age groups. In particular, they visit families with children under the age of five.
